Shenzhen is a business city, a rich city in search of opportunities. It is located 30-60 minutes from Hong Kong, depending on whether we go by train or bus. Also depend on the area of Hong Kong who want to go. If you hurry, you can take a helicopter but the trip will be a little more expensive.
